Greasepaint Performance Academy provides exciting, professional and inspiring performing arts classes for ages
4-17 in Cringleford and Diss, Norfolk.
Independently launched in 2009 from a passion for theatre, the ambition was (and still is) to teach and develop skills in singing, dance and drama but most importantly help to build confidence, self-esteem, listening, team work, resilience, trust and encourage creative, out of the box thinking. Allowing all abilities to express themselves in a safe, encouraging and non judgemental environment.
Our weekly performing arts classes are split into age specific groups, with lesson plans designed and developed on a weekly basis taking a lead from our students. Our bespoke technique means that each and everyone of our GP students are able to access the best, high quality musical theatre classes - allowing them to progress and achieve on an individual level.
Our performing arts classes are created for the individual. Each and everyone of our tutors and helpers are supporters of each and everyone of the children and young people who attend our performing arts classes. We simply all want our students to be happy, confident and able to express themselves - no matter what that means to them.
As well as classes, we wouldn’t be a performing arts academy without putting on performances! We are passionate about this and strive to get everyone involved with public performances - allowing children and young people of all ages and abilities to experience the elation, joyous feeling that we know will stay with them forever.
Over the years we have performed numerous productions, including Into The Woods Junior, The Little Mermaid Jr, Aladdin Jr, Shrek Jr, Seussical Jr, Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz and Matilda in professional theatres and regularly attend festivals – having won an award for drama in 2017 and for dance in 2018 with Musical Theatre International (MTI).
